On November 26th, at 6 pm, the debut album of pianist Sergio Marchegiani, "Nocturnes" by F. Chopin , was presented at Spazio Fazioli in Milan. The italian pianist has presented one of the most representative repertoire of the Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin.
Released for Amadeus Rainbow and recorded at the Fazioli Concert Hall in Sacile, this double CD was inspired by Marchegiani's amazing listening to the live recording of the Chopin Nocturnes performed by Dino Ciani and the discovery of an instrument - the Fazioli piano - which can exclusively return the same sound that inspired him. Just the combination of these two elements has convinced Sergio Marchegiani to venture into a minefield, accepting the implicit challenge of dealing with the interpretations of distinguished predecessors.
Live performance of some excerpts from the CD were played.
