“Fantasie” a concert with music by Beethoven, Schumann and Balakirev

For over twenty years she is acknowledged for the curiosity and versatility of her performances and the virtuosity and passion reflected on her extended repertoire. Well-know is the rarity of her recordings.
She took part to several original projects that saw her collaborating with Ircam – Centre Pompidou in Paris and with the Foundation of Contemporary Art Spinola-Banna for which she’s been Artist in Residence together with the composer Georges Aperghis. Mariangela Vacatello imposed herself very young in the international scene: she was 17 when she won the second prize at the Liszt Competition in Utrecht. She then distinguished herself at the Busoni in Bolzano and Van Cliburn in Bruxelles. She won the Premio Venezia, the Solti Foundation Award, the Critics Award “Nino Carloni” and many other prizes. Her musical activity has no borders. The spectrum of her collaboration with Orchestras and Directors is considerable. Born in Castellammare di Stabia, she studied at Accademia Pianistica di Imola, at Milan Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Music. She currently lives in Perugia and to her pianistic career alongside an intense educational activity.
