DANIIL TRIFONOV piano
The “Fazioli Concert Hall” opens with the extremely talented young Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov. He has recently won some of the most prestigious contests in the world, namely the "Rubinstein" in Tel Aviv and the "Tchaikovsky" in Moscow, where he was also awarded the "Grand Prix", as best performer of all categories.
He also won the bronze medal at the "Chopin" in Warsaw. His stunning musical talent aroused the interest of such jurors and music critics as Martha Argerich, Krystian Zimerman, Van Cliburn, Emanuel Ax and Nelson Freire. As a result, Daniil Trifonov is now in great demand on the international scene.
During the 2011/2012 concert season he will make his debuts in the main concert halls around the world.
In 2011 his first DECCA CD appeared; it includes a selection of pieces by Chopin recorded 'live' in 2010 at the Fazioli Concert Hall and played on the Fazioli piano of the Teatro La Fenice of Venice.
“Last night I listened to him again on YouTube – he has everything and more. What he does with his hands is technically incredible. It’s also his touch – he has tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that.”
