With its 26 years of activity, the Trio di Parma is one of the longest-lived chamber ensembles in the international music scene. Born within the Conservatoire of their own city, the Trio is considered the musical heir of the legendary Trio di Trieste, to which it owes its formation. In 1994, the Trio was awarded the “Premio Abbiati”.
The success earned at the most important international chamber music competitions, from the Vittorio Gui in Florence to the ARD in Munich, gave an impulse to the intense concert career of the Trio, both in Italy and abroad. From Salzburg to Duino, from Fiesole to various Italian conservatoires – the courses and master classes held by the three Masters are very sought-after.
A monographic programme focusing on Beethoven marks the comeback of the Trio to our Fazioli Concert Hall. On stage three instruments by Italian makers: a Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin dating back to 1744, a 1775 Vincenzo Panormo cello and the Fazioli grand piano, of course!
