MARIANGELA VACATELLO, piano
“The light and the dark” is the title of the elegant debut program of Mariangela Vacatello at Fazioli Concert Hall.
The thirty years old girl of Castellammare di Stabia (Napoli), ex enfant prodige, winner of important international awards which has opened her the doors of the most prestigious concert hall in the world, develops her bipartisan project presenting in each each zone (the light in one hand and the darkness in the other) the work of an Italian composer and a great masterpiece of the pianistic repertoire most known. So the Light is entrusted to Studi Boreali by Ivan Fedele and to Sonata “L’Aurora” by Beethoven, instead the Darkness is played by two nocturnes by Sciarrino and from the gloomy “Gaspard de la Nuit” by Ravel.
An original and interesting journey, which will allow us to fully appreciate an interpreter that deserves to be considered as an Italian pride.
