The winners of 18\u00b0 Premio Trio di Trieste at Fazioli Concert Hall<\/p>\n

Trio Gaon was formed in 2013, with the idea of bringing together musicians with very different cultural and professional backgrounds who share a common musical vision. The word Gaon, which in Korean (\uac00 \uc628) means both \u201ccentre of the world\u201d and \u201cgenerating warmth\u201d, is a metaphor for the musicians\u2019 aspiration to make the musical work the \u201ccentre of the world\u201d at each concert, generating warmth and energy.
\nThe members of the Trio, who graduated from the Munich Academy of Music and Performing Arts and continued to perfect their skills together, each hold important soloist and educational roles. They have been recognised by some of the most important international chamber music competitions, winning the \u201cJoseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition\u201d in Vienna and the \u201cKulturkreis Gasteig Musikpreis\u201d in Munich, amongst others.
\nWith a unanimous decision from judges, Trio Gaon took first place at the 18th International \u201cPremio Trio\u201d of Trieste, also receiving two special awards. They came second in the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, winning all of the special awards. They perform regularly in Germany, France, Belgium, Austria and South Korea, taking their vast repertoire to the most prestigious concert halls, from the Seoul Arts Centre to the Salle Cortot in Paris.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
