In her recitals, she brings together the great pianistic tradition with an unceasing curiosity for contemporary music, often giving numerous world premieres. Her recent album <em>Manuscripts Don\u2019t Burn<\/em> (Sono Luminus), featured on NPR, is her most personal recording project to date: it includes five world premieres written for her alongside works by Schubert\u2013Liszt, Faz\u0131l Say, and Fanny Mendelssohn, combining solo piano with spoken word. Faliks is the author of the memoir <em>Weight in the Fingertips<\/em> (2023) and creator of <em>Polonaise-Fantasie<\/em>, an autobiographical monologue-recital. She has recorded for Navona, MSR, and Delos to critical acclaim, and is the founder of the Music\/Words series, which unites poetry and music.
