Nicolas Salloum<\/strong> (Switzerland, 2004) won the First Prize, the Audience Prize, the Prize for the Youngest Finalist, and the Prize for the Best Performance of a Beethoven Sonata at the 2025 Alessandro Casagrande International Competition in Terni \u2014 the only competitor in the history of the competition to have received all the special awards. He has performed on prestigious stages and at major international festivals, including Carnegie Hall, the Tbilisi Conservatoire, the Beiteddine Art Festival, Piano \u00e0 Saint-Ursanne, Lavaux Classic, and the Gstaad Menuhin Festival.
He is currently a doctoral candidate at NYU Steinhardt under Eteri Andjaparidze, with whom he also studied at the Mannes School of Music. Having graduated with highest honours at the age of seventeen from the Haute \u00c9cole de Musique in Geneva, he has also studied with Akiko Shirogane-Weber, Dominique Weber, and Ricardo Castro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alessandro Casagrande International Piano Competition (Terni, Italy)<\/strong>
Established in 1966 to honour the memory of the musician from Terni to whom it is named, an artist and composer who died prematurely. It represents a moment of intense cultural commitment for the city of Terni, which is lucky enough to host participants of different nationalities, ready to attest to the precious fruit of the many schools of origin. Since 2002 it has been organized by the Foundation of the same name and enjoys the support of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities \u2013 Live Entertainment Department and the Umbria Region. The Casagrande is one of the few Italian international piano competitions admitted to be part, since 1975, of the prestigious F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Mondiale des Concours Internationaux de Musique in Geneva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
