Pedro López Salas (Albacete, Spain, 1997) is studying for an Artist Diploma with Prof. Vanessa Latarche at the Royal College of Music in London (RCM). Previously he finished his Masters of Performance also at RCM with Prof. Norma Fisher, receiving First Class Honours. The awards he has received are numerous. Among all, the first prizes at the international competition in Malta, at the Composers of Spain CIPCE in Las Rozas, Madrid; the Joan Chisell Schumann Prize of the Royal College and the César Franck of Brussels. Some of the masters who inspired him are Dmitri Baskirov, Dmitri Alexeev, Alexander Kobrin, Pavel Nerssesian, Pascal Nemirovsky, Pavel Gililov, Marianna Aivazova, Mariana Gurkova and Ludmil Angelov. “Even more than an excellent pianist, he is a true soloist and almost a conductor, judging by his stage presence,” Ritmo magazine writes about him. He performs regularly in Spain and Europe.

Paderewski International Competition of Bydgoszcz, Poland In 1986, the Bydgoszcz Music Association, founded in 1922 and already a supporter of the formation of a professional symphony orchestra in the Polish city after the Second World War, was named after Ignacy Jan Paderewski to valorize the work of the great Polish pianist, composer and statesman. In addition to this mission, the I. J. Paderewski International Piano Competition and the Paderewski Piano Academy constitute the most prestigious initiatives.
