Ettore Pozzoli International Piano Competition – Seregno
Established in 1959 by Gina Gambini in memory of her husband, the distinguished teacher and composer Ettore Pozzoli (Seregno, 1873–1957), the competition is held biennially. The event takes place in two historic venues in Seregno: the new Auditorium, where the demanding preliminary rounds are held, and the ancient Teatro San Rocco, which hosts the final and the awards ceremony. Prominent figures from the musical world have featured both on the jury and among the competition’s laureates. Among these, Maurizio Pollini stands out, having won the coveted first prize at the inaugural edition of the Pozzoli Competition.
