ENESCU COMPETITION WINNERS CHOOSE FAZIOLI

Another prestigious international competition, another outstanding result for FAZIOLI.

The Piano Section of the 20th George Enescu International Competition has its winners. First Prize, together with five special prizes, was awarded to South Korean pianist Jeongwoo Lee. Second Prize went to Yiming Guo (China), while Pin-Hong Lin (Taiwan) was awarded Third Prize.

Both Jeongwoo Lee and Pin-Hong Lin chose the FAZIOLI F278 for their performances, placing FAZIOLI on the podium with the First and Third Prize winners.

The special prizes awarded in the Piano Section included:

  • Jeongwoo Lee (South Korea): Radu Lupu Prize – for the Best Performance of a Work by George Enescu
  • Jeongwoo Lee (South Korea): Best Performance of the Commissioned Work Prize – for the Performance of Hammers and Tongs, by composer Karim Al-Zand
  • Inya Maria Cutova (Romania): Constanța Erbiceanu Prize – awarded to the highest-ranked Romanian competitor in the Piano Section, offered by the Erbiceanu Cultural Foundation
  • Jeongwoo Lee (South Korea): Audience Prize
  • Jeongwoo Lee (South Korea): Playing for Tomorrow Prize, offered by BRD – Groupe Société Générale
  • Jeongwoo Lee (South Korea): École Cortot Prize – offering one of the laureates the opportunity to perform a recital at the renowned Salle Cortot in Paris, during the 2028-2029 season

The result once again reflects the confidence that a growing number of young pianists place in FAZIOLI pianos when performing at the highest level of international competition. It also reflects the combined work behind every such achievement: the dedication of our artisans in Sacile and the expertise and commitment of our dealer network around the world.

Our special thanks go to Dario Contino and the team at Contino Pianoforti, who recently acquired and supplied the F278 used at the competition and took care of the instrument throughout the event.
