The changing and imaginative world of Rachmaninov.
By Boris Giltburg

According to the British magazine Gramophone, Boris Giltburg’s originality derives « from a convergence of heart and mind served by immaculate technique and motivated by a deep and enduring love for one of the greatest composer-pianists of the 20th century ». The Russian-Israeli pianist is, in fact, today fully recognized among the major contemporary interpreters of Rachmaninov’s music. 150 years after the birth and 80 after the death of the great composer, Giltburg takes us through the most famous and moving pages of his catalogue: the preludes.

Tickets online sale begins at 10:30 a.m. on October 24, 2023.

For him, the music always comes first – I love that, he’s a real master musician, he always gives the music time to breathe.
