Born in 2004 and holding both Russian and Armenian citizenship, Eva Gevorgyan has won prizes and accolades in over forty prestigious competitions, notably securing first prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists (2018) and the Robert Schumann Piano Competition in Düsseldorf, as well as second prize and the Press Prize at the Van Cliburn Young Artist Competition (2019). In 2021, at just seventeen, she was the youngest finalist at the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Today, she performs at major international venues and festivals, collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors. Critics have highlighted her rare ability to combine impeccable technique with profound musical intelligence, noting that her sound reflects the great Russian piano tradition—qualities also evident in her debut recording featuring works by Chopin and Scriabin. In 2020, she was selected by Evgeny Kissin as a scholarship recipient for the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, a further testament to her extraordinary musical personality.

There was nothing hackneyed about Gevorgyan, a rising star who offered impeccable technical prowess and clarity, plus emotional intelligence. Even her physical deportment was arresting, as if she had adopted the animated mien of a ballet dancer.
