Marco Ottaviani (Italy, Pesaro, 2001) has established himself on the international concert scene, winning the Schumann Prize at the Rospigliosi Competition at just sixteen. In addition to the La Palma d’Oro Competition and the Donzdorf Prize, his numerous accolades include first prizes at the Roma International Piano Competition (in the “Chopin” and “Emerging Pianists” categories, 2025), at the Villafranca Competition (2025), and at the Murai Grand Prix in Croatia (2024).
He maintains an intense chamber‑music career in Italy and abroad and performs as a soloist with major orchestras. He trained at the Rossini Conservatoire in Pesaro and at the École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris. He is currently studying with Natalia Trull and Luca Rasca at the Accademia del Ridotto, and with Lovre Marušić at the Gustav Mahler Academy. He is supported by the Safran Foundation.

Palma d’Oro International Piano Competition, Finale Ligure
The Competition was born in 1974 from the idea of Aloise Vecchiato and Bartolomeo Marco, and since 2015, it has been associated with the Alink-Argerich Foundation. Managed by the Association of Musical Culture “Palma d’Oro” with the support of the Municipality of Finale Ligure and the De Mari Foundation, the Competition is now in its 49th edition and enriched by a calendar of concerts also aimed at enhancing places of historical and cultural interest of the territory. The German city of Donzdorf awards a special prize and collaborates with the winners’ concerts.
