Two Perspectives from the Shores of Romanticism
By Luca Cossettini

Martín García García approaches music as a universal language—pure, unbiased, and capable of asking profound questions about the human experience. He believes that a performer’s responsibility is to preserve tradition while projecting it into the present, revealing the limitless resources it can offer. Not yet thirty, he is already recognized as one of the most internationally promising pianists and has received praise from masters such as Krainev, Alexeev, Volodos, Bashkirov, and Achúcarro. His prestigious awards—including First Prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition and Third Prize at the Chopin Competition, both in 2021—have led him to perform in major concert halls and festivals across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Following his debut recording Chopin and His Master (2022), his second album Even Tide, featuring works by Chopin, Brahms, and Mompou, was released digitally in 2024

This is a pianist I would like to hear again!
