The Last of the Romantics
By Luca Cossettini

This second focus of our season on Rachmaninov is, at the same time, an excellent opportunity for getting to know two very young talents, both trained at the Gnessins School of Music and at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. In the first part, the program will allow us to appreciate the exceptional solo skills of each and then listen to them in duo in the second, for the inevitable « Symphonic Dances », composed for orchestra, of which Rachmaninov prepared a version for two pianos that he himself performed for the first time with Horowitz.

Tickets online sale begins at 10:30 a.m. on October 24, 2023.

Shio Okui simply amazed me: at her age, she already understands and feels music immensely and has full control over the instrument.
