À LA MODE
Music that defines our time

by Ernest So

Bewitching interpreter and extrovert communicator, philanthropist and tireless traveler, Ernest So is a cultured, versatile and innovative artist. His vast repertoire, an extraordinary capacity for assimilation and his particular inclination for research in the musicological field allow him to propose always new and captivating programs, very often characterized by unpublished and rarities. Born in Hong Kong, Ernest So studied at the Juilliard School in New York after having trained and collected early successes in Asia. Performer and teacher, he combines his deep interest in piano construction technology with his interest in charitable activities: thanks to his personal commitment, more than 30 schools have been built in different Chinese provinces, giving thousands of disadvantaged students the opportunity to receive support and scholarships.

His bearing on the piano recalls the brilliance and energy of 19th-century pianists.
