Voyage dans la nuit
by Roberto Calabretto
Mariangela Vacatello is celebrated for her wide-ranging performances, her virtuosity, and her passion for approaching a diverse range of musical styles, from baroque to avant-garde. Her collaborative projects, including with the Ircam in Paris, highlight her originality.
At just 17 years old, she won the second prize at the Liszt Competition in Utrecht, followed by distinctions at the Busoni in Bolzano, the Van Cliburn in Fort Worth, Texas, the Top of the World in Norway, and the Queen Elisabeth in Brussels, in addition to numerous other awards. One of her recent recordings features the complete Scriabin piano sonatas, with an unreleased video version “Dieci colori per 10 Sonatas” broadcasted by Rai in 2024, recorded at the Fazioli Concert Hall.
She will return to Sacile to lead an enthralling musical journey through the night, showcasing the visions of important composers.
