Tenacity and sensitivity, intelligence and discipline, refinement and curiosity hide behind the delicate figure of Ying Li. Winner of the 2021 Antonio Mormone Competition in Milan, in the same year she was a finalist at the Concours Musical International de Montréal, and won the special prize for the best performance of French music at the Cleveland International Piano Competition. At the age of five she began playing the piano as a game, not suspecting that music would soon become «the key to her identity». At 11-years-old, in St. Petersburg, she participated in her first international competition, realizing that she wanted to make her life a continuous discovery. She moved to Philadelphia when she was 14 to study with Jonathan Biss and Seymour Lipkin at the Curtis Institute of Music, where she graduated in 2019. In June 2021, she earned her Master of Music from Juilliard in New York.
